Another first...

My first experience with the Thomas the Train table at Chapters!
I didn't do much playing with trains. I threw some behind my head, tried to grab them from other kids, but mostly I just stared at the kids playing, then tried to clear off the shelves in the store.

Birthday breakfast.
Daddy couldn't resist buying me a second xylophone!
Just a typical girl spending a little time on the phone... Mommy dressed me in a special sweater - it was hers as a little girl - on my birthday.

A gift from Aunt Kim and her clan! I knew how to work the soother right away.

I LOVE ripping paper, and am a very determined little girl.

Mommy and Daddy had candles in a cake the day before my birthday for the party, then felt guilty that they didn't have candles on my actual birthday. They decided to put a candle in one of my favorite foods, cheese!

I really liked the gift bag that came from Grammie and Grampie!

There was a chance of a storm that night, so I helped Mommy and Daddy do the 'snow dance' for a snow day while watching the Weather Network.

I'm one year old today!!!

Party Girl

The day before my 1st birthday, Mommy and Daddy had a little party for me.
Carebear Cake!

I humored Mommy and Daddy by leaving this silly hat on for quite a while.

I was unsure of the cake at first, but loved it once Mommy scraped the icing off.

My friend Jeremy and I played with the new toy pot that he and his parents bought me.

An attempt at a picture with my balloons... the ones that remained. Two burst as soon as Mommy walked in the door with them.

January pics

Stair climber!
My new snack spot is sitting on the window seat, but I still try to sneak some to Cali.

Daddy did a run, but I think I deserve his free bottle of water.

New hair clips, because my hair is getting long on top!

My snuggly hat from Aunt Penny! Daddy likes it, but always laughs that it's my 'helmet' when I hvae it on.

Omi Days

I've had to stay home from school a couple of times lately, and it was Omi to the rescue! This time I had an eye infection, but feeling pretty good otherwise. I spent quite some time trying to get Carebear, Piggy and myself into my chair together. Omi took lots of pictures and laughed at how determined I was.

It was a different story two weeks later when I had bronchitis and a fever. I spent most of the day in Omi's arms, and slept in her arms, in my crib, on the couch, and on Cali's bed. Every now and then I would perk up and want down, but then I'd curl up with my blankets and cry shortly after to be held again.

I layed like this in Mommy's arms the whole time Daddy was gone driving Omi home. I had everyone pretty worried.

Christmas Catch-up

I love this rug at Omi and Opa's! We had a visit out there on Christmas Eve.

Uncle Alex, Aunt Kim, and my cousins, James and Will, came from Toronto for a visit on Christmas Day. This is the best we could do for a group shot.

All dressed and playing with my new xylophone while I wait to go out for Christmas dinner.

Christmas morning, in my Christmas jammies, opening my first present!

I LOVE my new bus from Grammie and Grampie, and it matches my jet that Daddy got me.
